Project Manager

Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager to deliver IT solutions into external customer sites, often new builds. Ensure that projects as a whole deliver the products and or services to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

9:00 – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday) and 9:00 – 5:00 (Friday)

Report to

Networks Division

Key Responsibilites
  • Planning of projects and the development of the associated project plan presentation to a Project Board using Prince 2 methodologies and relevant software
  • Developing Stage Plans, with clearly defined deliverables which can be measured or tested, for the next stage before submission to the project board or relevant client group
  • Defining the objectives and responsibilities for each stage
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary
  • Commercial awareness enabling tight control of project budgets and reporting of
  • Using Prince 2 methodologies for highlight reports, risks, change control etc.
  • Manage cross functional teams across multiple projects

Desirable Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within public sector environments, to both tight timescales and budgetary constraints. It would be advantages to combine these attributes with a competent technical knowledge of IT hardware and infrastructure technology.
