PRESS RELEASE: Viglen wins another Academy

After a string of business wins in 2011, Viglen has secured a contract with another Academy, with a deal to the value of £1.66m. The Skinners’ Kent Academy, based in Tunbridge Wells has chosen Viglen to provide ICT solutions that will deliver enhanced learning outcomes.
Viglen will help to fulfil the Academy’s ICT Vision, which aims to transform learning, teaching and administration. The Vision will also see ICT become an embedded and pervasive feature of the Academy’s day to day practice.
The Academy, which first opened its doors in September 2009 and specialises in science and engineering, will eventually house a total of 1,150 students, all of whom will benefit from the ICT services provided by Viglen. The ICT specialists will supply, deliver, install and commission the entire IT solution, which includes both goods and services.
A primary objective for Skinners’ Kent Academy is to help improve young people’s life chances in the local area and to create incentives for students. Through the provision of exciting and engaging technology, the Academy aims to capture the imagination of learners by employing the most up-to-date, relevant industry-standard technologies.
