Last shipments for Microsoft Windows Vista on 22nd October
On 22nd October 2011 Microsoft will end worldwide sales of Windows Vista under Microsoft’s OEM licence. After this date, all Microsoft OEM partners (i.e. system builders) including Viglen will be unable to sell computers with a Windows Vista OEM licence (i.e. COA* sticker). This is a worldwide change enforced by Microsoft affecting sales of Windows Vista OEM licences.
End user downgrade rights to install Windows Vista Business as a downgrade from a more recent, qualifying operating system are not affected. Your Windows End User Licence Agreement (EULA) contains full details of your downgrade entitlement. Microsoft will continue to support Windows Vista Business with the latest service pack until April 2017.
Customers requiring the most cost-effective base operating system upon which to apply a Microsoft Volume Licence Agreement Operating System Upgrade* should choose Windows 7 Home Premium which is available as an OEM product. If you choose to order online through Viglen’s website, we’ll automatically make sure that your volume licence upgrade is combined with the most cost-effective OEM Windows licence to ensure best value.
